I didn’t know any of that about black mold, especially that it can get into clothing and personal items that are not affixed to the home. I am also interested in alternatives to chlorine bleach because I can’t breath when I’m anywhere near it. Thank you for the great information.

Hi, I often feel frustrated to remove the black molds on my red carpets and in my kitchen sinks. Thanks for all your ideas and I was startled to hear that molds could result in heart attacks, respiratory problems and skin allergies too. I have exhaust fan in my kitchen but I am not able to keep the moisture in control as my sink leaks often. So I am planning to repair my sink soon and I love your idea of dehumidifiers, silica gel moisture absorbers, chlorine bleach and ammonia bleachers to destroy the harmful molds. But I am confused about the proportion of using silica gels and chlorine bleaches. I need all your help to remove my molds. Thanks in advance!

Mold in homes is almost everywhere present where there is enough moisture, substrate and air. It need not to be very warm, mold will also grow in cold temperature. And mold spores start to build up colonies within 24 -48 hours, so better be quick to clean up all kinds of fungal growths.
